What’s driving agricultural transformation in Africa?

The world’s youngest population is 226 million people aged between 15 and 24. They reside in Africa and they have the potential to drive innovation and transform agriculture.

Africa is facing a double employment crisis: There is an influx of young people looking for jobs, however there is a lack of work. However agriculture is the largest sector in Africa and it promises opportunities for job growth and economic prosperity.

By 2020 the agricultural sector is to create 8 million stable jobs. Technology is contributing to the hopeful figure by embracing phones into their farming.
